Having worked in the restaurant business, New Year's Eve is dubbed as Amateur Night! All the people who don't normally go out are out and about. Do you know what this means? Trouble.

Usually these people are not seasoned drunks. Therefore when they get drunk they get 1) belligerent 2) obnoxious 3) Handsy 4) Fresh 5) one of the many combos of these options. I have been out a few times for New Year's and I can tell you this with complete and total conviction. I never EVER have a good time for New Years. As in EVER. I think probably my last good New Year's was in 1999 to 2000. My parents came down here to the area of which I now live and the nice guy J and I spent the night at my parents house. We had a really nice time. It was still in the start of the relationship and we really liked each other a lot.

I am going out with a bunch of couples but I am going to drink copiously before going to the bar. The only reason I go out is because I get to avoid the $50 dollar cover by getting put on the list. This is awesome and I need to buy the band lead singer a drink! We're going to pre-game and have grand old time. Provided everyone is not up each other's ass it should be fantastico. I heard that some other people who will not be identified will also be there... This should be interesting as it always is.

Basically this chick's brother and my former roommate (same person) is now married and I hope that he doesn't get hammered and try to make out with me. This would be well annoying to say the least. I just want to go out and have a mostly drama free night and begin my new year fresh and clean of people like SD....
