However,  it is such a hassle having to drive that far to see her, since I no longer live there, so I switched to one of the Integris clinics here in the City.
I really like this little guy I am seeing now; however, he wasn't fond of one of my blood pressure medications, so he wanted me to take only the one and come back today for him to recheck it.
I forgot to mention that last Monday I was there four hours while he had the lab draw blood--lots of blood--and, of course I had to give the obligatory urine specimen.
Then, he wanted me come back the next day for my bone density test. Â Well, of course my blood pressure was too high today, so he decided to double my dosage; but he also wanted me to have an echocardiogram.
I told him I was flying out Wednesday at noon and wouldn't be back until the 3rd of January. Â
"I really think we ought to do this before you go," he said. Â I may want to add another medication depending on what it shows, and you may not need the digoxin any longer." Â
Personally, I thought it could have waited, but he didn't!!! He is so dang gung-ho!  Why can't I ever get one  of those doctors who just practice medicine by the seat of their pants!!!  Just kidding,  I thinkk!!!
Anyway, I have to be at the outpatient clinic at 7 tomorrow morning.  Did that ever mess me up.  I had an appointment to get my hair cut tomorrow morning; I had to call to change that; she was so nice and squeezed me in this afternoon.Â
I had also planned to use tomorrow morning to pick up two or three last minute gifts.  I had  to rush around and do that today; now, I've got those to wrap as well; then I've got to color my hair; have Christmas and lunch with Mother at the nursing home at noon tomorrow.
Come back home, finish laundry and try to figure out how I am going to manage to pack Mother's gifts, my gifts, and Kenna's gifts for Holly's family while still having room for my clothes.
Plus, we're going to San Antonio for three days over New Year's, so I am going to need both heavier and lighter weight outfits.
