I
don't have a lot of time because I have a doctor's appointment at 10:30
this morning. It is my annual check-up with my oncologist. Though I
feel fine and have had no warning signs, I still get a little
apprehensive every year when this time rolls around.
Originally, I had to go every three months; then every six months. For the last four years I have only had to go once a year.
I
read this weekend that John Edwards was probably going to submit to a
paternity test soon. According to one source I read, Mr. Edwards has
now moved the woman and the little girl back east close to him. Can
there really be any doubt whose child it is?
His
wife, Elizabeth, now in the final stages of breast cancer, said she
hoped it could be done quietly, for the sake of the child. I'm sure it
will be all over the news as soon as the results come back.
What
that man has put her through is more than anyone should have to
bear--public humiliation, being the first thing that comes to my mind.Â
Believe me, I emphatize. Â I too suffered public humiliation from a man
who put his so-called needs ahead of all else.
At
least I had the option of telling him to stick it up his arse. I also gave him the chance to defend himself first. Of course, he tried to lie about it; but I knew too much. He finally admitted it was true. It would have been nice if he had given me the same option when his mother lied about me. But I digress. That story has been told already.
Unfortunately, Ms. Edwards did not have the luxury of throwing the scumbag out, given the fact
that she is dying and has two small children who will need their
father when she is gone.
If
he moves this woman in after she is gone, that will be the final
straw. He already has lost his political career and is under
investigation for the money he has given her, supposedly in the name of
"work"--I guess that would be one name for it.
May he rest in peace.
