It has been a few days since I have posted here on MyBloggers. I took a little Sabbatical to spend some time over on Blogster getting beat up by the neo-conservatives.

I don't know why I think I can reason with these people. Things that seem obvious and logical to me they insist are just my being "ignorant" and "delusional."

And, of course, I cannot walk away from a good fight. After all, I am an Aquarius--I am supposed to be "highly intellectual", but I have to tell you those right-wingers don't see it that way.

You might be interested to know that their latest "conspiracy" theory is that there was a collusion between the Democrats and Republicans to elect Obama. In other words, the Republicans deliberately chose McCain because they knew he could not beat Obama.

They theory behind this is that the two parties--along with Obama's mother and grandmother, incidentally, were all working together to get Obama elected so that they could establish a new World order. At least I think that is what he is supposed to be establishing. I tell you, these people are so far out there that I can't even follow their thinking half the time.

Of course, they still are writing posts about Obama's birth certificate. Now, in addition, they are on this tirade that a Muslim in Texas financed Obama's education at Harvard. They are demanding that Obama release all his financial data while he was in school showing how he paid for his education; they do not believe that he was an honor student nor that he was President of the Harvard Law Review.

They also want to see his grades. Of course, the money he borrowed for his education, the fact that he graduated Magna Cum Laude and was President of the Law Review is all public information; but that is not good enough for these people. Facts mean nothing to them.

It is just the most bizarre thing that I have ever encountered. Finally, they are vicious in their criticism of him. One blogger went so far as to say "I consider him the enemy." Another said that he was not fit to shake the hand of our military men and women. Another constantly refers to him as "Bobo." I think that is probably self-explanatory.

Well, you know me!! I had to have a few words with them about those derogatory remarks. I will defend anyone's right to criticize a politician's policies; and, even to poke a little good-natured fun at him. But this goes way beyond that!!

Well, enough of that! A little on our weather. We are in the grip of a winter storm. Yesterday, we had freezing rain all day; last night we had sleet, and today we have snow. A real winter blast. No school today for Grandson, so he is happy.

So, far, the roads are still passable, but the streets in the neighborhoods are a real challenge. We have a moderate slope on our driveway. Last night Daughter could not get the car up it. She got turned cross ways in the street and was in a real dilemna.

I finally got in her car; the neighbor across the street came out and put some de-icer on the drive. I got it straight, backed up, got a little speed, and managed to get it in the garage.

She had got frustrated and was gunning it. Of course, the wheels were just spinning. I just let it pull itself until I got straight. It frustrates her when I take over and do something she can't. I told her to quit gunning the car, but she wouldn't listen.
