B-r-r-r!   This cold weather is bad for my bones!!  But I'm just glad to be here in sunny Oklahoma where it is a balmy 19 rather than in Illinois and points northward.  DD2 and SIL's temperature right now is -13.
The kids have not had school the last three days because of the extremely cold temperatures.  They have five inches of snow (maybe more by now) in addition to the frigid conditions.
I just wish I had been around when that fellow, Gregory, was figuring out the calendar.  I would have instructed him just to skip January and February and take us straight to March!!!
Speaking of March,  DD2 and family are going to Disney World for a week in March.  Bet they wish they were there now!  They had planned to go in February; but SIL's brother returns the first of March from Baghdad.
His wife asked them to wait until he got home so all of them could go together.
When they went to Hawaii, his brother was stationed there, though they stayed in a hotel.  SIL's mother, the MIL from hell, managed to get in on that trip, supposedly to help babysit the kids. Daughter and SIL picked up her tab for two weeks of free vacationing.  She didn't spend a minute babysitting.
I asked DD2  if she was going to weasel in on this trip as well. 
"Absolutely not!   D was adamant about that!  She does NOT want her along!"
So, I guess the "honeymoon" is over for MIL and D.  D's family is all deceased except for a brother; and she had hoped to find a surrogate mother in MIL.  But this woman could mess up a relationship with anyone.
Too bad she can't realize that she is her own worst enemy.
