I was a biology professor for 30 years and now am retired. Although my university was in Colorado, much of my ecological research took place on the Mexican border in southeast Arizona. we sold our AZ home (very hard for me) and now are year round in northern Colorado where I do some writing, some vegetable gardening, and some forensic work as a forensic botanist. I also like to travel. I grew up in rural Indiana and have just set up part of the family farm there as a nature preserve. My husband, Carl, of 44 years is also an ecologist and our research in AZ was collaborative. However, my partner in crime work is Dr. Dave Norris. Carl and I are commencing some ecological research in southwestern NM just now. It promises to be lots of fun.
