but the early morning still has a chill to it.
The awesome blue sky is not available to us these days. It is covered with the haze of smoke still moving to the south east from the huge fire near Paradise, California.
The truly amazing thing is that the mountains around us are still green. While I do suppose it has happened before, I think it is a bit unusual. After all, this is mid-June and we have had some pretty high temperatures; at least high enough to burn away the green.
Our two vocal performances as a part of the Heritage Park Chorus are now completed and we were told that the groups was greatly appreciated. Felt good!
We are looking forward to a visit from brother Paul and SIL, Lee. My guess is that their time is cramped and they will only stay a couple of nights with us in Sacramento.
The following week we shall entertain Sarah and Rachael from Australia. This will include a driving trip to the Grand Canyon.
Teddy, Winston and I will stay at home, probably in Sacramento. I have to close the books on the fiscal year ending on July first for our branch of the California Retired Teachers Association and that might take a bit of time.
I have worked out seriously sever times in the past week, doing a bit of weight lifting and walking on the treadmill. Sure does feel good and I hope that they are right about exercise building new neurons in the brain. I need all the help I can get.
Y'all take care hear?
