Would you believe that it is 4:20 AM here? Why in the XXXX am I up at this time of day?
Our lawn person put in a disappearing act on Saturday, leaving me with a small front lawn with three weeks of growth. Under the circumstances, bringing the mower from Sacramento and taking it back every other week is not practical. Already have the little SUV filled to the brim with the two dog crates.
Anyhow, a very nice and inexpensive mower appeared on Craigs List. I purchased it and now we have individual lawn mowers for each house.
That's the good news. The bad news is that my attempt to mow the small postage stamp lawn here in Reno almost ended in heat stroke here at 5k feet in altitude. Got the job done but had to stop four or five times for water and rest.
No harm done, but that warning bell was quite loud and persistent. Just hope that the fatigue was the result of tall grass and that more frequent mowing will alleviate the problem.
Girls are back in Melbourne. Their trip here was sure an eye opener for us. The world it is a changing.
Keiko is ensconced in Yorba Linda and is looking for a place to purchase. The housing market is soft right now so it is a good time to buy. Seems to be level headed about it and is doing a pretty good job of research.
The smoke is finally almost gone for us here in Reno, but even the smallest fire does its thing to our air.
Think I will have a cup of coffee.
Y'all take care hear?
