Finally

I was going to write last night/yesterday, but got busy engrossed in watching local college team, women's basketball, win a final four, and a chance for the national title - first time. My youngest son-in-law's youngest sister plays on the team - like that will make HIM something special - yeah, like what else does the dumb lazy kid have going for him. But still it is nice to be in some small way affiliated with the success of others, even if only marginally peripheral.
Sorry, my real topic was going to concern the demise and decline of the so-called "Religious Right" involvement in republican party politics. Like, Amen, good riddance; these self-serving, imitation, holier-than-thou, Taliban-type preachers - (not to be confused with ministers and laity people of real religious beliefs and convictions), were only looking for a place that would bring themselves the most exposure, notoriety, publicity, donations, personal financial gain and benefit.
Maybe this answers one of my long-standing questions: "When did the democrat party high-jack and steal the civil rights issue away from the republican party?" For centuries on end, the Baptist Church of the South (90% of all churches)was the primary instigator and controller of segregation, Black inferiority, and White supremacy. So, which came first, the southern church going republican to maintain racial separation, and the Blacks migrating to the democrats - or, the southern churches moving to the republicans because so many Blacks became democrats???
