Computer Love

Hmm a man in technology

Surely there is nothing sexier

But I’d never imagined an Apple developer

It's niche, its unique, almost what I like to call signature GenX

I wonder if this man could make me switch my entire world to Macs.

No, No, bitch don't ever change for a man.
I love my Think Pad!
Plus the hardcore geeks know the challenge is coding in Windows.

Anyway it’s nice to share intellect and cool that he is a brotha.
I feel he understands my capacity and knows when to give me a mental upgrade.

He is the first one who truly understood me.

Yes I said I do create XML Schema!

He replied with a simple expression. //howsweet

I might change in the future.
I might need some upgrading.

But the one thing I love about the world of Macs is that they strive for dependability and consistency.

How can those characteristics not carry over into the developer’s personal life?

In the world of Macs it's nice to know their developers are committed.

I hear once you are with a Mac you never go back.

I don't know if we will have a kiss but I'll bet his tongue is rich with sensitive microchips. His rhythm in sync with his best performing machine, almost like the humming of its Central Processing Unit.

I would bet he never runs out of memory.

And if and only if I ask him to do something twice he has no trouble with understanding recursion.
I bet he is so good that he

rarely gets caught up in an infinite loop!

So before I left the logical and into the abstract.
I asked this brotha if he was into commitment.
His answer was simple, he replied "1".

I guess I was excited because he did what I would expect.
He came back to me with an ERD that laid out the dependencies.

Ok, then on to phase two. I was curious was he trustworthy?
After some emails with a datatomato I had to ask.
A quick IM response to his next answer of "yes"
This was wonderful news even though I am on Norton I knew that even the best virus protection can fail. I just didn't want to have to hear later that he had given me the ILOVEYOU virus.

Lastly, I said baby do you think you can explain to me how I would fit in you life?

He took me to his white board where he walked me through what he called the RDLC process:

If we get together this is how it will have to work.

First I am going to do some research and analysis and gather all your requirements. Perhaps build a few use cases and then run some test.
This will allow me to design the perfect way to capture you as mine.

Next
I will show you a demo nothing fancy maybe just some wire frames and a nice GUI. Just enough to give you the entire picture.
Go ahead Hun feel free do a bit of QA testing
, ask me any question.

Now surely I won't get it right the first time. So be patient. During that phase of implementation and testing I will need to loop back just to make sure everything is just right. I don’t believe in releasing anything that has major flaws.

Once I get the sign-off I will integrate you into my life.
Together we will maintain and run this operation in this thing we conceptualize as life.

I wasn't completely impressed. I felt he pulled me into his own little ontology. I said dear can't this be a little more Agile? At this rate we will never integrate! We don't have to get things 100% right let us develop as we go after all I just need you to be my 80%. Who knows at this point we don't even know our deliverable.

So he sat me down and said dear I want us to be together and experience all the phases of the life cycle. Not everything is built like Google. Relationships need a strong foundation not something that never gets out of Beta.
