Here in Australia our fuel prices have just come down significantly. We were paying $1.50 per litre at the pump which has now come down to $1.02. At the moment we are cheering. It is still high compared to five years ago which was around .82 cents per litre. But over here to reduce carbon emmissions the Gov' have released a multi million dollar plan to improve and make new bike track, trails and lanes to enable more people to ride safely to work and giving Car manufactor companies grants to improve technology and make more Hybrid vehicles (petrol electric). I will not go into the faults both of these plans have BUT i did hear somewhere along the way that ethanol ulp is what most fuel stations will stock and it will be hard to find straight ulp.
I can honestly say i have never heard that expression before.
Here in Oz we have Medicare, that anyone can have, and we pay the medicare levy out of our tax returns. The more you earn the more you pay. So a worker earning 35k a year will pay around $500 and a worker earning 50k a year will pay around $700. Then if you want private insurance and pay the insurers direct you dont pay any medicare levy. People on the dole get given a health care card which entitles them to about a 50% reduction on prescriptions.
