Move to the Lut Desert in Iran. or to the badlands of Queensland, Australia. or to the Flaming Mountain in China . If you want to stay in the USA, Death Valley in California or Nevada is a good choice too.

Thanks but I don't eat pepper except the mild sweet red ones nixed with other food.

I am waiting for your tips on how to lower our air conditioning bills, which for some in the South must also be considerable. My cooling and heating costs seem to run about the same, but I've never calculated it.

Move to Alaska or the North Pole. If that is not a viable option, shut off your AC and buy those smaller room cooling devices where you just add water and use a fan in addition .

That's good . Keep your thermostat at 68 degrees or below then, to avoid the high heating costs. Eating some very spicy hot peppers can help keep you warm too and dress in layers. You can always go to Miami too.
