I'm not surprised these parents did this at all. There were protests in many schools around the country. I agree that these parents lacked the knowledge needed to understand the true meaning behind the day's event.
My Dad recently sold his stamp collection on Ebay for $2500. It's sad how some people could ignore a little kid who's obviously scared and alone, and choose to do nothing. That's so wrong AND dangerous.
Way to go!
That's a lot of cats you have there...wow I like the cat in the dresser drawer photo -- kind of reminds me of my Mom's cat, King Friday. He's into drawer's too.
wow, awesome photos.. Your granddaughter is so cute -- give her a longer ride next time!
Great post.
Great cartoon!
I definitely want kids. I've always known I wanted to be a parent -- minus the minivan. I'll be a damn good Dad, too
I have this movie in my DVD collection at home -- gets me laughing every time I watch it.
What a dingy bat --
Great post! I wasn't allowed to watch much TV as a kid. My parents were pretty strict about regulating the programs I watched as well. When I got to be in junior high, they joined some sort of Catholic TV viewers guide that listed certain programs that were considered sinful or unethical. I'd just go over to my friends house to watch the shows they were trying to protect me from watching. It was funny.
I wrote a post about Day of Silence today. Good post!
He's lucky to have you as his mentor and friend. Its sick knowing that his father's immature and ignorant attitude on having a gay son can impact Raf for the rest of his life. I hope Raf knows this isn't his fault -- that some parents don't deserve gay children.
