Some days you just don't know if you are coming or going. You wake up confused, unable to distinguish the coffee maker from the toaster. Short of electrocuting yourself or having soggy toast you manage to stumble along until the day starts to shift more to recognizable shapes. Then you realize that life has passed to the point where you will no longer awake with that incredible energy of youth, each morning will be a shifting of sinew and muscle, a will to move without ache or sorrow. The long legged days of summer are gone and each step carries you closer to chill of winter. My day started with these musings and then I found these pictures I took at the Seattle zoo, it appears that I am not the only one that cannot figure out if I am coming or going.
