The Preacher said, "Watch this! You will never forget what you are about to see!" Then he took off his suit coat and laid it on the floor. Next, he asked a person to command that jacket to rise up and move around.
The person looked down at the coat and then at the preacher and with a smile he commanded the coat to rise up and move around the room. However, to no ones surprise the coat didn't move at all!
Then the preacher picked the coat and put it on again. He then lay down on the floor. Again he asked the helper to command the coat to rise up and move around. The helper spoke to the coat and immediately the coat did as it was commanded! The coat was now energized, not by it's own strength but by the person now residing within it.
The preacher then reinforced his point by saying, "Folks, you see the coat moved by the power of the person living inside the coat". So, the grand mystery is that we have neither hope nor power apart from Jesus Christ living in and through us.
