I think it's lovely, I wish we could all go to Zio's right now.
He looks so soft. You know I have a weakness for black and white kitties, they have a great amount of dignity and self confidence. What an adventure for him to explore inside the house. I'll bet you're glad he won't have to be outside in the cold this winter.
If you put all your poems in a book in the right order, they would tell a life story.
What a great, great short story. It reminds me of the things Mr. Tbend does that get on my nerves, and really they are just minor things, but it's the little ones that add up, isn't it?
Wouldn't it be great if you were able to step through a portal and travel back to that time? I just got done listening to The House on the Strand by Daphne du Maurier on bbc 7, condensed, of course, but I also have the book. I usually take science fiction seriously as having an element of possibility to it, and time travel across the centuries is one of my favorite concepts.
Folks are not going to do without their air conditioning, cell phones, high end cable TV packages and gas guzzler cars, they'd rather have their home be foreclosed on or incur huge credit card debt than give those things up.
I really like it, too. The blue jeans go better with the long hair than the dress did and give the couple more of a 1970s look than 60s or 50s. Hope that's what you had in mind.
This is how I feel sitting on the screen porch watching nightfall. Thanks for putting it into words.
I just bought a Dell laptop because my HP developed memory problems and would shut off without notice at inconvenient times. Windows 7 isn't too bad, but I had to buy all new software to go with it, and since Windows Vista was so short-lived, a lot of the software hasn't caught up, and there are programming errors in the Windows 7 environment. But you have no choice, really. I think only big companies have the clout to get Windows XP on their new computers. I think you'll be fine with a nice basic Dell, Sue. Avoid the temptation to upgrade the size of the memory or hard drive, because if you are just doing the internet, email, and some word processing, you probably don't need a lot of power. What do I know, though, you might be downloading movies, videos, and large music files. Be sure to pay attention to getting a built-in or add-on modem so you can continue with the dial-up.
It's nice to have that big doll for a mannequin. I am on a break from knitting because I have been neglecting my paperwork for the past month or so, and I need to get caught up.
It's raining like crazy here today. Rained good yesterday, too. The river is still high, and some fishermen showed up with a guide. They don't seem afraid of the rain, but can't fish when it's just pouring like it is now. Maybe they'll wait it out.
I think a lot of friendships end when one of the parties embarks on some diet or loses a bunch of weight and can't shut up about it. I realize that changing lifetime habits is difficult, and all that change can require some passionate, obsessive behavioral changes, but these are not the people we laughed and drank wine or swapped recipes with, these are pod people from outer space who look like them, but otherwise are aliens. If we wanted to talk about our excellent eating/exercise habits we'd go hang around with Randy all the time.
I love these pictures, especially the ones inside the house. Men really can fix anything, and sometimes they finish the project.
I recently had to replace my laptop with a Windows 7 machine, which isn't supported by the version of Adobe Acrobat I use, so I had to buy a new copy of Acrobat.
The title made me think of that Peggy Lee song, You give me fever. I didn't like it when I was a kid and it was a hit, but now it makes more sense.
