Despite all the sorrow of loss, his love for you is so special to hear about.
It's worth the calories!
This is the scratch cook's worst nightmare, all that money for an average outcome and not the cook's fault. I'm impressed that you had some fresh parsley to strew over the top. I had some string cheese once, and rolled it inside pizza crust to make one of those cheesy crust pizzas.
You look great in the picture. I love the design on the hat. It reminds me of 1950s textile and wallpaper designs, very wholesome and appealing. I can imagine having a tablecloth like that.
The oatmeal waffles were really good - very tender, with a nice texture from the oatmeal, and they browned up nicely. They don't have any sugar in them and not much flour, so I think they'd be pretty healthy for a person. I used skim milk.
I broke a bottle of oily furniture polish (some fancy pure-oil kind) on the kitchen floor in Las Vegas, so I know what you went through. It was everywhere, and slick! You really don't want someone else in there slipping around in it while you're cleaning it up.
Sounds like you had a wonderful time and I enjoyed reading about it.
Six years old is pretty long in the tooth for the kind of behavior that I'd expect from a three year-old. I agree with you, they need to give him a swat once in awhile, and should have started long ago. At this late date, it'll probably confuse him more than help him. I like that name Prissy Pants.
Wow! That's a lot of cattle if that's what's in those trucks. Is that a normal road, or are they arranged that way for show?
I'm so glad things are getting better for you. That really was a rough spell. Wishing you all the best.
I just listened to that song - good drivin' around Mississippi music.
If it had to do with Sopranos, my guess is it had something to do with the mysterious disappearance of somebody.
What a fun challenge. I know your story was good. Let us know when they are going to read it on the air.
A lot of people have family nicknames, it's not a big deal. When that little boy gets older he can pick what he wants to be called, and it might be something like Skip.
