I have decided that I am on a healthy lifestyle quest. It sounds so much more positive than diet or lifestyle change. Quest implies that there is a goal that is attainable, and you just need to keep working towards it.
Yesterday's nutrition was a home run in my book. I had a baseball game, but I prepared for it. I made a salad which I brought to the game along with cooked chicken breast, goldfish pretzel crackers and an apple. When the day was all said and done, I was only about a hundred calories over my recommended max for the day. This is a huge improvement from four to six hundred calories over which has happened during the last couple of games.
There were two places I could have improved. I ate out lunch on the run yesterday and had a gyros. The gyros and sauce is full of protein, but a little high on the calories. It was a much healthier option than some other things though!!! Also I actually had two beers at the game which I did not account for calorie wise. I very rarely drink at games, but yesterday was one of those times.
Overall it was a great night. The White Sox won, and I managed to control my food intake. I'm so proud of me. If I can conquer eating at the games, I can conquer anything!!!!
You'll do it! Day by day...
YAY! White Soxes, my home town team!
