We flew into Anchorage the night before the cruise. We ate at this wonderful restaurant that has huge windows over looking Cook Inlet, and somehow I managed to find us an empty table in this packed place. We ate the best clam chowder while watching the sunset.

If you guessed by the title of the blog, I did meet somone on the boat. We'll call him L. L was a jr officer on the ship. I met him the first full day on the water at the captain's cocktail party which was the formal dinner night. I got all dressed up, and I looked good! Mom didn't go with me because she was resting her feet. I looked around and saw no one too interesting until I saw L. He has the prettiest brown eyes. I went right up to him and started talking with him. We hit it off.Â
We met for drinks later that night which he comped me. Gotta love a man in uniform with power. He had to depart the cruise in Juneau to head to his next assignment which is aboard an Australian cruise.
But before he left, he managed to take the morning off of work and take the White Pass Scenic Railroad with Mom and I.

A scary, old bridge that is no longer in use.
