It Aint Alf Ot--- Phew

What a day its been temp went to 39c before lunch its now 8pm still 33c. Forecast for tomorrow 40c with hot northerly winds before a thundery change sometime tomorrow evening.
Total fire ban over the whole state ,all country fire sevices have been placed on high alert, lightning strikes will be the main problem and no rain with the change .
Temps will be back into high 20s all next week , seems spring is ending with a bang.
Three fires were started by suspected firebugs today on country roads but were soon extinguished without much damage thank goodness.
Police are watching 34 known firebugs there are others they say but not as likely to act.
There already is a contained fire in the bush on the west coast its been burning for 2 weeks , just smouldering now but wind picking up could flare up by embers being blown around , got to pity the fireies there must be exhausted by now

There are several articles about your Aussie wildfires on this site:

I always think of you when I read them.

I have no tolerance for hot weather anymore. Anything over about 25ºc. and I'd be miserable. This past summer in Northwest Ohio was the worst heat I can recall, with extended temps over 100ºf/38ºc. Glory, I was so glad for fall and now for winter!

This sounds like our summer. It was so hot and dry and we had an arsonist
too.

You Aussies have had your fair share of infernos over the past several years. We hear about them. This year was bad for us, too.
