Finally got to Wongalla yesterday it was a great day for a drive , went in what I call the shopping trolley (car) had it for 12 years now and only done 67.000 kms you can see why.
Had a great day seeing how green the country is , wild hops in flower as are the almond trees , most of the grape vines are still bare , only early varieties have buds. Spring is due to start in 9 days , days are getting longer but still cold in morning and night
Wongalla to me would not be a good spot , the camping area is very nice big shady trees but the water is too shallow for fishing , would need a boat to get out on the river proper. coming back ten miles there was another place we stopped for lunch at .
It had more ideal camping spots along the rivers edge, deeper water and a house boat tank emptying jetty as well as toilets, ideal for week days but would be busy on week ends and holidays , for close runs we will be going there.
More to be happy about had no troubles driving there and back , no dizzy spells each time I stopped and got out, which I did a few times as we came home in a full circle passing through other towns, all up covered 330 kms
