Up at 5:30 am. Made coffee. fed cats. Read the news. Nothing much in the paper. Went into my painting clothes and up to the studio at 6:30. Painted all day, just like yesterday afternoon and evening and the day before that.
I have seven canvases underway. They are all the new thing.
It is difficult trying to work a change in style. It compares to learning to use your left hand if you have always been right-handed. (That has happened to me because of the Essential Tremor in my right hand. Look it up.) It is actually challenging because I keep wanting to do thinks the "old" tried and true way. But I have my reasons.
I did break one time to return a ladder to the art guild gallery and go visit Mom for ten minutes.
Yesterday I took her to a restaurant Thanksgiving Buffet. $13.99 a person and well worth it. It would have taken me two days to prepare all that food!
The cats turn up their noses at anything I make for them. I made chopped turkey and gravy and they wouldn't touch it, so I told them from now on it is canned and bagged food.
This morning I got up at 3:30 am to use the WC and there were so many cars flashing past the front windows. I realized they were on their ways to Wal-Mart, Kohl's, Target and Meijer's, for the early-bird specials on Black Friday.
What fools these mortals be.
They could have been sleeping like babies and truly saving their money.
Oh well. The economy needs spenders.
