Damn I hope I spelled that right!

My second appointment with the Dr. was originally yesterday. I postponed it until today because I got a surprise visit from my Columbus art patron who picked up his five "Studies." He saw them the very day I posted them on the web and called to buy the as Christmas presents.

Meanwhile, I've finished five more but have yet to photo them, log them and post them to my site.

So I went to see the eye doctor today and once again got the fuzzy eyes treatment. You have to wait about an hour while your eyes dilate like Ford taillights before you get to sit against the burning bright light while he peeks into your brains.

It is uncomfortable but necessary.

The original diagnosis was "You may have to be treated for retina detachment if this continues., etc."

Today I got this?

"You have healed somewhat, but it is still not completely out of the woods."

"Okay, Doc. What do I do about it."

"Go home. Wear sunglasses for the rest of the day. Don't put your head face-down if you can avoid it. See me again if the flashes come back, but the floaters should subside in a month or two. What you have comes with age."

"Gee thanks, Doc. My birthday is Tuesday. I needed that reminder."

He and I laughed, I paid nothing (Medicare) and drove home with one eye close and wearing those cheap sunglasses they give you.

Whew! I need my eyes.
