Update ...

Wait!

What am I going to "update?"

Oh. It's Saturday. I am going to do a recap of the week that was...

You probably know about what happened here Monday. It was Bunjii's day. We miss him. We don't have his ashes yet, but expect them the first of next week. We have a shrine ready. We opened a page for him on my web site https://www.jondude.com
Go see it.

And we opened a page on Pets-Memories...

https://bunjii.pets-memories.com/index.php

You can go there and light a candle for our little angel.

Then the rest of the week. Not much happened. The other cats still roam the house looking for him.

I played golf. It was free, so I took advantage. It was also muddy and cold.

My last art class session was Wednesday night. I had six people in the group and they all finished their 11 x 14 acrylic paintings. They got to varnish them on the last night. All the paintings are very good work!

I had to watch lots of basketball this past few evenings. Can't wait for baseball. How much basketball can I take?

Batter UP!

I went to ALDI yesterday. If you don't have an ALDI store you probably pay too much for food. 79 cents for 8 ounces of mushrooms, for instance, is a real deal. You have to take your own bags and do it yourself at ALDI. Good shop, but limited items. They have one brand of each, and the stores are not large. It is the only place around here to find pastrami. Most items are off brands. I never heard of the cereals before. Cheap virgin olive oil, too.

I have noticed that blogging has dropped way down. There are not many posts on any of my blogs. Perhaps bloggers enjoy watching basketball more than I do. I think basketball would be more interesting if the court was filled with old rubber auto tires. Then the dribbling would be crazy. Or maybe orange cones? Barbed wire?

Football, too, would really be interesting if a pack of pit bulls were allowed onto the field during the game. The players would have to contend with running while dogs nipped at their heels?

Tennis drives me nuts. I went to a live championship match when I lived in California. It gave me a sore neck. I didn't like it because the hots dogs were cold.

The best spectator sport of all is Baseball. It happens in generally warm weather. The junk food is great. The ambience is nice. The fans are friendly. And the game has lots of breaks and rest points, so you can go to the bathroom without missing too much. But I think the beer is too expensive.

Cleveland State upset Wake Forest last night. Ohio State got thumped in OT. West Virginia didn't show up and lost. My picks for the final two?

Memphis and Louisville. Louisville to win.

Don't bet serious money, though. My picks never get there.

But ask me who will win the roses at Churchill Downs the first Saturday in May and I may be right, for once. Don't ask me until the day before.

Hobbie thinks horse racing is neat. He sits in front of the TV and watches. He never places a bet, though.

I start doing my tax work today. It is a nightmare. I hate it, except when TurboTax gives me all kinds of little deductions. Then I cheer and the cats come to see what's up.

Bisbee seems a little more regular. He has been molting and fluffed up.

That's a wrap. Have a good weekend.
