1. I never keep my Worcester Sauce in the refrigerator. The cold clouds it and it loses flavor. It doesn't "spoil" in the pantry at room temperature.

2. I roll my laundered socks together.

3. I have a framed photograph of the Wizard of Oz's straw man - the scarecrow without a heart - on my wall. I Photoshoped the face of my ex-wife (Number two) on it. Aside from her face I did on a painting once, it is the only surviving photo I have of her.

4. I have five litter boxes in the house. I clean them at least once a day, sometimes twice.

5. The back floor of my Toyota is a trash bin. I clean it about once a month. It has empty smoke packs, tissues, paper towels and whatnot.

6. I have too many sweatshirts. My bathroom collects them and when I no longer have room to stuff another one I take the laundry to the laundromat.

7. I like leather coats and jackets.

8. In warm weather I weather blue denim jackets. Always.

9. I no longer trust anyone. Well, maybe.

10. I read. I will do a novel in two nights. Unless, of course, it was written by Thomas Pynchon, and then it takes weeks.

11. I love scratch macaroni & cheese. I make it frequently, but this gall bladder problem has made that less frequent.

12. My cats have me figured-out. They have a game of defying my orders. It makes me crazy, but they are cats, you know.

13. I read this town's little newspaper out on the front porch in the morning, rain or shine, snow or sleet.

14. An old "friend" spies on my blog here and passes stuff like this to my ex. Therefore, I have to be careful about libel and posting certain items (see #3.)

15. I collect nothing anymore. I have boxes of Cleveland Browns souvenirs, Joe Camel (everything ever made with Joe Camel images), Christian crosses (hundreds!), books - antique and new, and other things. I tried to sell some of this on eBay but it was too much work and I got some bounced checks.

16. My current veterinary bills are more than this month's rent.

17. I wear Wrangler jeans all the time, except when I sleep and when I take my Mother to brunch on Sunday.

18. When I paint on canvas, the world goes away. It is better than Valium, Scotch or a lobotomy.

19. I don't believe that I was ever in (true) love except once in my life, on an island in the Mediterranean. I know it felt like nothing I have ever experienced before or since.

20. I spend far too much time blogging, but I always have MyBloggers open when I work on the computer, so there.

21. My bird likes the Disney Channel and Cartoon Network, so I know all the characters, songs and most of the kid commercials by now. My favorite show is "Chowder," but I wish they would produce some new episodes.

22. My favorite TV? Fox's HOUSE and TNT's "TRUST ME."

23. My best friend for life? Marc Liotta.

24. My worst regret? Showing up at the church.

25. My best moment in life? Still waiting.

26. My favorite painting? The giant ear of corn on my website. Go look! It is on a wall in my living room.

27. My favorite city: Several. 1. Venice, 2. San Francisco, 3. Florence, 4. London, and 5. Monterey/Carmel, CA.

28. My biggest pet peeve? Liars/cheaters.

29. Olive, single malt Scotch, coffee (dark roast), cotton, roast pork loin, cats, literature, Travel Channel & Food Network, Kyra Sedgwick, Alan Furst novels, arugula, bagels and cream cheese...
