Rosie likes to lie down on her back, begging a belly scratch. Notice that she uses a soft toy for a pillow. She loves pillows.

I am painting this composition, which I put together from images I scanned out of a book about carousel horses. The reason is this - the Tiffin Art Guild always does a special event art auction during the Tiffin Heritage Festival weekend in September. This year we are painting and decorating three-foot-high plastic carousel horses someone found in a dumpster and rescued for our purposes. There are about 26 of the horses and I am going to paint on one of them. These are not toys but should only be used as decor.
Anyway, I decided since I am a painter to paint a canvas with carousel horses. They are colorful and look like a fun theme. It will be auctioned off at the same time as the horses. I am donating it to the club.
We use the proceeds to fund our other projects and pay the rent.

My family, mostly my sister's kids and some friends, grandkids, and whoever wants to join them, all go to a place near Cocoa Beach, FL in the Spring and cool (warm) their toes in the sea and the sand for a week. This year my sis had her grandson, Josh, a graphic designer, make up the design for Tee shirts that she handed out to the attendees. They are all down there this week, having arrived Friday and Saturday. I hope they aren't burning in the bright sun, but it looks like they have enough shade under the umbrellas and enough beer to keep them chilled.
