I made a nice sirloin steak, smothered in blue cheese. Now my blue cheese is gone. Ah, well. That was also my last steak from the freezer. And I had the leftover crab cakes on the side. Hobbes ate one of the crab cakes and really enjoyed it.

Why does the news always use the cliche, "...a torrid affair,..." when they describe a sexual relationship between celebrities and groupies? Come on! Jesse James is a famous guy on the coast. I know, because he used to stop at our coffee shop in the morning (his West Coast Choppers was in Long Beach) and the girls (and ladies) would swarm around him as if he was next in line for the Crown. The babes are all groupies, and they cling to celebrities like James and Eldrick Woods just like they do to rock and roll musicians.
How can a five-minute piece of you-know-what be considered a "torrid affair?"
I had a "torrid affair" once or twice and they lasted about 3 months. 3 months was all it took for the torrid part to wear off. That was about how long it took to discover the things about each other that we did not like.
BTW: I wasn't married or engaged at the times. So I was NOT cheating on anyone.
I hate cheaters.
...........
That brings to memory a claim I once made that I did not "hate" anyone. OK. I don't really hate cheaters... or anyone. I just would not, could not ever trust them.

WVA beat KY in the NCAA tournament tonight. Terrific game, but nothing like the Butler game! WHEW! In the pool all of my final 4 picks are gone. I had too many favorites. It is beginning to look like Duke has the best shot at winning the trophy. Duke's bracket had very little tough competition in it. I wonder how much they paid for that?
..........
I could not, would not ever trust Duke.

The new gallery of the Tiffin Art Guild is progressing. The volunteer painting crew is nearly finished. I have measured the wall linear dimensions so we can order our hanging brackets and wire. We are a "no nails in the walls" club. I am trying to get the board of directors interested in a non-scheduled meeting to make some critical path decisions. I want to close the current gallery on April 1 so we can get the art off the walls, have members come and pick it up, and get the hanging apparatus moved to the new space. Also, we don't need visitors when we are trying to move everything across the street and down a half block.
I don't get paid for all this, either. But if something goes wrong I do get blamed. I should get paid for getting blamed.

Easter looms. I believe tomorrow is Palm Sunday? Palm Sunday was a great big deal when I was growing up. Our church had a little pageant on that Sunday morning service and I was always the kid who had to lead the donkey down the aisle. On the way back one time I got donkey poop all over the soles of my Sunday-go-meeting shoes.
.........
That means Pesach (Passover) looms, too. And tax deadline, and best of all...
BASEBALL!
