Some of you know that for a few months I haven't posted any new artwork. That's because I have been morphing my "style," trying to achieve something I can see in my mind's eye.

Well, it isn't working.


I have several canvases up there in various stages of crappo. One has even been Gessoed-over seven times.

The canvas is actually about twice its original weight due to the amount of paint it contains.

I have not finished - or even come close to finishing a single work in over two months. I won't sign anything that I don't like, and I don't like what I have tried to accomplish.

So. Today I am painting every one of them out. Tomorrow is a new day.

It is lightly raining a cold rain now. We have so far missed the snow and ice that is hitting just north of here. That is good, but with darkness comes the drop in temperatures that may still bring the sleet or mixed precipitation.

I have also had it with winter.

I need a stiff drink.
