This is going to be a tough year. I brought Hobbie home this morning. He will be on Prednisone, a cortical steroid, for a while. The lab results come in a few days. Meanwhile, he is happy to be home, groggy, and hungry. I am very tired. More later.
I'm pretty sure the diagnosis is correct. I will do whatever it takes to give him quality for what life is left. Hobbie is special.
I called back after not getting any further word from the vet (@5:45.) They are keeping Hobbes overnight. He is resting. They took 125cc of fluid from his abdomen and he is more comfortable since. They have put him on Prednisone and double doses of something else (I think transfer factor to boost his immune system.) The samples of blood to test for the FIV were sent out to the lab and that will take a day or two to get results back. But the Dr. said everything points to FIV.

Radio, like TV, depends on sponsors. He has lost, I believe, six of those as of today. It happened to Glenn Beck, and the same company canned Beck. BTW: Clear Channel, Rush's employer, is partially owned by Bain Capital, the company connected at the wallet to Mitt Romney. Small world.
The guy has absolutely no credibility anymore. He has lied, insulted and demeaned so many times (between Vicodins) that I'm surprised anyone tunes-in to him.)

The god of the Old testament was a bastard and slaughtered whole populations. The 'new' god of the New testament must have been a different one because he/she/it only had one casualty to his/her/it's credit. I don't think the gods had anything to do with the bad weather. I agree.
