What a wild time this morning. At first the cats were cautious in approaching their gift bags and stockings (the stockings were stuffed by my wonderful sister, Kathy, and shipped from California.) But once they recognised what was happening, memory kicked-in and they went to work on the contents.
You can see the pictures on Hobbie's blog.
I picked up my mother and drove to my cousin, Doyle's, for dinner. I took a pumpkin pie and whipped (real) cream from Bob Evans.
The food was copious and delicious, as always. We managed to get something from every serving dish, and I actually ate two plates full! In addition I had a slice of the pie.
Mom gets tired quickly, so I took her back to Autumnwood just before dark. I took along her gifts that I had wrapped for her to open at Doyle's.
I gave Doyle and Markie a small framed painting as my gift to them.
It was a good day and my cats are "plum tuckered out." So am I.
