Why I Hate Umpires ...

Seventh inning. Indians versus Rays. 7 to 5 Rays. One out. Ryan Garko drives a high ball to deep left field. The fielder runs and leaps at the wall. The ball hits the top of the wall a foot away from his glove. The ball bounces into the field of play and the fielder catches it with a bare hand.

Then, as Garko reaches second base he tosses it to the shortstop, knowing the ball is still in play.

But the umpire calls Garko out, saying the fielder caught the ball.

I have never seen so many bad calls in any year of baseball.
