We're fine here, except that Bisbee Bird is still ruffled up and not himself. So we're watching him. We miss our departed Bunjii, especially Hobbie. Hobbes got really close to him. I think it may be their colors, gold-yellow. Cats can see color and maybe they have that link.
It is morning dark. I rolled up at five a.m. Couldn't go back to sleep after one of my prostate stops down at the bathroom. So after trying for a half hour I came down, punched the coffee button and fed the four furry critters.
Nothing on TV except the pending execution of AIG executives and the reclamation of taxpayer cash that AIG has swallowed. Let that company go to you-know-where. The shareholders should take the hit, not the Treasury. You make poor investments, you suffer, not all of us.
Shoot the executives. Hang 'em high. Cut off their ... well, maybe not that radical.
March Madness. I gambled on a five buck pool sheet. My picks for the final two?
(You wish!)
It definitely won't be Akron and Morehead State, baby.
I taught commercial art and design at Akron in the early to mid 1970's. Good school. Urban college. It is the center for plastics technology.
Where's Morehead State?
I'm taking my Uncle Jim over to Findlay this morning. I need to get out of town. I want to browse art supplies at Hobby Lobby, get some millet sticks for the bird and scout out a shop that sells used frames. I always visit Goodwill there for painting frames when we go.
Jim usually buys me lunch. We like Cheddars. We also go to Cracker Barrel sometimes.
Another uncle called me last night to tell me that he bumped into my high school sweetheart. Donna and I went "steady for almost two years. We broke up the night of her senior prom. She went to college and I joined the Army. She got married and had some kids, now has grandchildren. I don't know any more about her. She works in a pharmacy, so I may drop by there some day.
I don't like to haunt old flames, but she was very pretty. I am interested to see how she weathered life.
Warm here. It was 74 yesterday at 4:00. It may rain and cool off today. I want to play golf tomorrow, so I hope the rain stays away.
Hobbie just puked on the carpet, so I have to go clean it up.
Later.
