Weirded Out

Hubby bought me a cell phone three years ago. Six months later we had a little family reunion with my siblings. At that time I gave them my new phone number. I didn't need to bother because none of them have ever used it. Last year we got rid of our house phone as hubby and I each have a cell, we deemed it redundant and an unnecessary added expense. Yesterday my sister sends me a message over Messenger stating, "Your home phone is no longer in service." I replied, "Ya. We got rid of it." I expected her to call me on my cell but she didn't. Then this morning I get another message from her, "What's your cell#?" I gave it to her again and again I expected her to call but nothing. WTF? I don't know why she wanted my number. She, like the rest of my family never call me. Although, she must have tried to call yesterday when she discovered the house phone was no longer in service. I don't know. It's just weird.

I'll bet that poor wrong number woman who used to call you really misses you having a landline.

I'm afraid I have siblings who are doing the silent thing too now. This pandemic has taken my family’s poor communications and made them worse.

Sometimes family is strange. I am sorry Marg because my sister and I are closer than ever now. We talk several times a week.
