Hear..hear!! I couldn't agree more. I might also add to the list the small business owner and the family farmer who likewise don't see a quarter mill every year. These folks and the ones you mentioned are the backbone of the economny.

well, at least yer getting off of and/or cutting down on some drugs. I also take the Coumadin, the Simvastatin and the Florsimide plus Cardizem and Lanoxin for the ticker. did you know that the generic Coumadin(warfarin) was an ingredient in rat poison? scary huh? This reminds me, I have to call Dr. Whalebutt and tell him I'm moving. I know he will be beyond greif.

Yeah, I'll never forget that terrible day. It was a Friday. Whispered rumors had begun to float around school but nothing more substantial. When I got home, I knew something awful had happened. Mama was sitting on the couch weeping, and she never did that....Daddy was standing in the doorway to the dining room, leaning against the door jamb looking more pale and frightened than I'd ever seen him. And on the tv unfolded the the tragic news....our beloved president had been struck down. I'll never forget it as long as I live. Good post, Grump.

I agree with the "banner ad" idea. Like Marty(greatmartin) I am also on a fixed income(they fixed it good)and could not afford a "pay per post" kinda deal. I am waaay too chatty. A one time yearly fee might work, kinda like a subscription. About how much would you have to charge per year based on the users you have now in order for you to make a profit? I dearly love MyBloggerstown and have many terrific blog pals. My experience at MyBloggers has been wonderful and is a part of my life that I would not want to loose. Thanks for keeping us informed and asking for our opinions. As my old friend Tony S. sez, it shows respect.

thanks for the tip, jon. Lane Bryant...dang, that's where I gets all my clothing, or most of it. They specialize in clothing for ample women. This list does not bode well for the economy. I keep asking myself what good is $2 a gallon gas if nobody has work.

well, ya know Marty in every group of human beings there are some who are a--holes. I don't have a problem with anyone here in MyBloggerstown save for one. Several months ago I was in the chat room with him and several others and he used the "n" word to indicate some people of color. I asked him to kindly refrain but he continued so now I don't chat with this character or read his stuff. Otherwise I have no problems. I want our little cyber town to be happy and a place were all can express feelings without making horse's butts out of themselves or hurting the feelings of others. We can disagree without being disagreeable.
