A few weeks ago, Mary Ellen and I took our oldest grand daughter to Washington, D.C. for her eighth birthday. She was excited about it, but I think that Mary Ellen and I were even more excited than she was.
Mary Ellen was excited because she was going to be spending concentrated time with a few of the people she loved for a few days. I was excited for the same reason, plus I had never been to D.C. before in my life.
The pictures that I've posted here are more about us than they are of D.C. They are about the three of us experiencing D.C.
