As some of you already know, I maintain a mirror blog site of this this one over on Blogster.com, and I find MyBloggers to be a kinder, gentler and more open blogsite. I began the new site on Blogster when Eddie began making noises about changing MyBloggers, or even charging to blog here.
Anyway, I will never leave MyBloggers, for reasons mentioned above, but I will still carry on my mirror site "over there".

Okay. So, here I was, happily reading posts from my blogging friends here on Blogster and thoroughly enjoying myself. Bluebirds were singing.  Sunshine was smiling warmly upon my uplifted countenance.  Life was as good as good could be.  And then... with one fell swoop, everything in my world came crashing down upon my shoulders, and I felt as if the Eye of Mordor suddenly had me in its evil and inescapable gaze
What happened? Well, I was reading mmmhollywould's blog, as I often do. I find her to be forthright and uplifting. Even though I don't always agree with everything she says, I truly appreciate her frankness and her almost childlike honesty.  She's a breath of fresh air in a world where everybody else seems to measure and balance what they say.
In the post of her's that I was reading, Holly was being very even-handed, as usual, and she made reference to a fairly conservative blogsite. She said that, if we wanted more info on the topic, we could go to pattyinalabama here at Blogster.
Well, being the flaming liberal that I am, I was curious to see what the other side was thinking these days.
So, I went to the referenced site, and, lo and behold, I couldn't get in because . . . I WAS BLOCKED!!!!!!!
The note on my screen said that the writer of this site didn't like me, and had blocked me from reading or commenting on any of her posts!
I was SHOCKED!!! ANGERED!!!!!!! MORTIFIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have never been to pattyinalabama's site before...EVER! How could she know that she didn't like me?
I had noticed in the past that she had visited my site here, but what had I written that would have bothered her? My posts have been about playing with grandchildren and swimming with manatees!!!!
For crying out loud!
Then, I thought that, well, maybe she had seen some of my comments on other, more politically-slanted sites.
That must have been it!
She must have been offended by my liberal comments, or something like that...I guess.
You know, when I disagree with somebody, I like to talk about it. Argue about it.  Meet them at The Main Street Pub and have a healthy discussion while airing opposing ideas in a civil and pleasant (albeit alcohol-soaked) atmosphere. To me, that seems the proper and intelligent way of handling things.
One of my best friends on this planet is a fellow who is a STAUNCH Republican conservative. Chris and I are the best of friends, even though our political views are diametrically opposed to one another. We listen to each other.  Sometimes we find ourselves being swayed by the other's arguments. Most of the time, though, we agree to disagree...and we remain good friends! We respect each other, and we would do anything for each other.
Bill of justmyopinion here at Blogster and I are the same way. We disagree on almost everything political, but we have a friendship and deep respect for each other as fathers and human beings.
Can we only have people in our lives who AGREE with us all the time? What a boring world that would be!
I prefer to hear differing opinions on topics, and would never dream of sensoring anybody on any topic whatsoever!
My world is not a black and white one.  There is always a lot of gray area in every topic of discussion.  I don't pretend to be an expert on anything. Nor do I think that my views on things are the only right ones. 
I guess I have a hard time understanding the "Don't confuse me with the facts; my mind's made up!" attitude.
If you look into my Blocked List here at Blogster, you would find it empty.  Anybody can read my posts. Anybody can comment. Anybody. Even pattyinalabama.
Block me if you will. That is your perogative. However, I will not return the favor.
