I came across this letter to the editor and wanted to
share it with you.
Is it possible after two terms of the worst president this country has ever known, voters no longer seek candidates with qualities that great leaders have in abundance? Is the electorate willing to settle for any candidate with no resemblance to a rootin', tootin', shootin', cowboy with a smug smirk and an IQ score smaller than his shoe size?
This interminably long primary season has left us with three abysmal candidates in my estimation - a hard-as-nails broad with a load of baggage and a penchant for mispeaking; a doddering old warmonger with a willingness to keep America's sons and daughters in Iraq for all eternity; and a gifted, silver-tongued orator promising change - nonspecific change. Recently, the perennial candidate (Ralph Nader) indicated his intent to run once again. This is no savior, but rather, a spoiler who guarantees a Republican win in November.
May God bless America - we surely need His guidance now.
