Goodness me! Next weekend is a 'Bank holiday' weekend. Not only that, it signifies the end of our (cough cough) 'summer'!
Yep, the next one will be over Christmas! wow, where has the year gone . . . ?
Lets see - the children will be back in school soon, the evenings will be drawing in and before we know it 'All Hallows Eve' will be upon us.
I must admit, I do like the Autumn (fall), 'specialy if the weather is kind. I love the colours of the trees around & about.
We collected Wolfie's ashes on Wednesday. It's good to have him 'home'.
After the attrocious, weather of yesterday, I am glad he didn't have to suffer the torment of the 'thunder' (he hated it - likewise the 'fireworks', which will inevitably be upon us in November).
He now rests on a small shelf, just above he space he used to sleep - next to the 'land line telephone' at which he would howl like crazy, when it rang! lol He would also bark every morning, letting me know when the Postman was on his way - it is strange to pass the front door and see a letter lying there and not know when it had arrived.
One of the hardest things for me to get used to 'without him', was hanging out the washing. He knew the sounds of the washer finishing & me loading up the laundry basket - he would be out there waiting for me - religiously. I miss that still, but now I can recall the fun things he did without 'welling up' (too much . .).
Chloe, our Rottie missed him a lot at first, she has got used to him not being here now, but she demands to be taken with us when we pop out somewhere - shops etc.!lol
Oh well, I am off to mash a few potatoes to go with some chicken fillets for food, byeeee for now
