Positive Thought

The Power of Positive Thought and The Wisdom of My Mum

I am a big believer in the phrase “what you ‘think’ about, you ‘bring’ about – so let your thoughts be ‘positive’ ones”.

My son and daughter in law have been trying for a baby for 11 years or so alas, without any luck.

Over the last few months they have even been undergoing fertility treatment, once again without success.

All through this, whenever I think of either of them, I quickly snap into my pre-pictured ‘vision’ of them – my daughter in law sitting up in a hospital bed with my son also sitting by her pillow and his arm around her shoulder, whilst she cradles her healthy newborn child.

I have been determined, to see this event and I have not given up – nor will I.

What I think about, I bring about.

My mum’s wisdom

My mother had the ability to receive prophetic dreams. She would tell people about them (not, if they were horrible ones, as she would never frighten people). Only the ‘nice’ ones, would she recite.

In particular, she would always ponder over any dream she had on a Friday night. These dreams, apparently, had the ability to always come true – if talked about on a Saturday. The dream therefore, had to be a ‘nice’ one.

From a very young age, I was taught this poem so I could remember it forever and not, to make a mistake in any recitation on my dreams:

A Friday dream

When Saturday told;

Will always come true,

No matter how old.

The ‘how old’ part of the rhyme means that you could have dreamed your dream on a Friday night, many moons ago, but if it gets recited on another ‘Saturday’, it will still, come true.

I, had a Friday dream a fortnight ago.

I recited it to my husband when we got up the following morning – I also told my other son and daughter in law when they visited with their baby later in the day.

I had dreampt that my elder son and his wife had come to visit me, with the news of a pregnancy!

Later that week . . .

I was visited by my elder son and his wife – my daughter in law had taken a couple of pregnancy tests and they had come back POSITIVE!!!

Today, ‘pretty – in – pink’, my daughter in law, had her first scan! The baby is still very tiny, but it is a wondrous sight to behold!

The ‘due’ date is 29th May (2011).

As soon as the baby arrives and I go to visit in the hospital, I am going to take a photograph of the three of them, positioned in the same one, I have pictured them in my visualization of them – I will be framing that one!

Congratulations, to you both – you deserve your wonderful news

You, are my 'BEST' example, of 'visualization and POSITIVE THOUGHT', becoming 'FACT' !!!!!

and what a way to get a 'result' - it is like scoring a 'bullseye' in a darts competition 150 times in a row!!!!

I'm well chuffed

My nose is running like a tap too - I got the 'lurgeeeee' sniff sniff, cough cough, sniff cough . . . . spit - I got the 'flu

Jon, you could have knocked us over with a feather, when they told us their wonderful news, it was sooo surprising, even though I had been 'willing' it for them. It was only when they saw the scan yesterday, that they both 'believed' it had happened to them. We are all 'over the moon' for them. They are so, deserving .

That's such wonderful news, I'll keep a good thought for the next 9 months. I enjoy having dreams because they are like movies of what is going on in my subconscious, and never a dull moment there, apparently.

Thank you Laura
I don't have many dreams which I can always 'remember (obviously, I do dream) but, when wake, it is only the occasion one, that I am able to recall. It is then, that I really concentrate on it to make sure it isn't the type I 'ought' to remember for the future. It is a bit difficult, to explain in words.
