This is 1933 78rpm record. It begins with a rather 'prim' lady, explaining the dance steps, before the song begins . . .
My mum used to have it ! Loads of memories of playing it when I was a child lol

My mother had loads of 78's when I was a child, foolishly, she allowed me to play with them. I didn't 'break' them but I am not going to say that I didn't 'scratch' any. There was an old black record player to play them on - I recall her saying that originally a 'trumpet' used to be on it. The hand that held the 'needle' was a small round silvery type thing and I do believe, come to think of it, that he once said that a 'key' of sorts was needed - never saw that. I used to put the record on, then use my hand to create 'sound'

I managed to larn quite a lot of the old songs - I must have managed to get the correct 'speed', as I can sing along with the songs on 'you tube'
