I was watching ‘Countryfile’ last Sunday (as per norm.) and a section of it caught my attention.
It was about The Scottish Wildcat, the only true ‘wildcat’ we have in the UK.
These cats aren’t the size of a Large Cat (Lions and Tigers etc.) but are, bigger than the normal ‘housecat’.
I presume, they roamed other parts of the UK ‘once upon a time’, but are only found in Scotland nowadays.
The intriguing thing is, earlier this year – the start of our summer, my husband and I (Bedrock), had just finished shopping in a ‘Lidl’ store in Morriston (I had also been to the local hospital there). It had been a boiling hot day so we had bought a couple of ‘Ice-lollies’ to cool us down a little.
We were sitting in the car, doors open and enjoying the refreshment that the lollies were giving us, when along the opposite row of vehicles in the stores car park, out of the woodland that was behind them, the ‘biggest’ cat appeared! It strolled along the cars, we were gobsmacked! It was a ‘silver tabby’, but it was massive! If memory serves me correctly, it was taller than the back bumper of the cars! – I would love to know just what it was!
The thing is, it so much reminds me of these cats:

I wonder if it was, one of these?
