I can tell you that the reason it is the most popular is because it receives the most daily unique visitors. That is because there is a particular post that is listed in the search engines (Google) and they are sent to that page.
The users who read this do not stay around and participate with the blogs like most of the normal users do here.
We are cutting some things over and a programmer made bone-head move that caused the system to freak out. It is OK now.

I did open up the blog to new members a few weeks back, but I have not seen that much SPAM. I have seen a couple of items, but I keep a close watch.
