Sweet summer...it's coming to an end...I can feel it in the air and see it every night that it gets dark just a little earlier.
This hasn't been an easy summer, but it's still my favorite season. It's been busy with kids and work. There's been injury and stress related illness, but we're all on the mend at this point.
My husband and I have accomplished a lot this summer. I feel the end of a chapter...no, a part, to the story we live has arrived and now we're onto a new part of the tale. It's been brutal; court with his ex wife (she, of course, wants more money and thinks it his job to provide it...it's a story for another time) was intense, but we were able to stand ground and the judge was fair to us. Thank God, they don't all just throw a man's money around freely. Glad we live in the state we do.
I injured myself exercising...doing what I love...and now am realizing that I need to mix it up a bit and add some other stuff to my routine. I can do what I love, (martial arts fitness) as long as I do the other "kinda boring" workouts too. My body gets too stiff if I get too stressed and don't move around enough. I guess it really is everything in moderation.
My hubby keeps getting sick with colds from traveling on airplanes and being in hot places with too much air conditioning...I feel bad for him, but it gives me a chance to nurse him a bit and boss him around :)
The kids will start school soon...life will get back to a quieter home during the day...I'm looking forward to a good year.
