No I haven't read it... thanks, I'll get it. As for having a partner, after 42 years we are so in tune it's like there's only one person here, very relaxing.

Yes, James, time to move on.Without a formal letter from the hospital ansolving you of all fault, your position will become untenable. Return hoime, finish your degree, take a break and then consider your options. human sacrifice is never good. yoyu are not required to sacrifice your health, happiness or peace of mind for anyone. you know you have done all you could with the best intentions and that is all you need to think about. Others' opinions are their problem, don't ever let them become yours. It will be a good idea to leave D to sort out her owm mess. if you become involved and things dont go well, you will find yourself blamed again for what goes wrong. If you dont take care of yourself, then no one will and that's silly. and you're not silly.
Best wishes... Clovis

Very wise! I share your sentiments.

One sunflower doesn't make a triumph. Unfortunately it has always been humans versus nature, which is a bit like cutting of one's hands for food. Sorry to always play the sour note... but it's pretty obvious that humans are destroying nature -- a thousand extinctions a week is pretty damned impressive. OK, in the end we'll become extinct too because of our stupidity, but that will scarcely be a Victory for nature, being reduced to a scraggly burning desert after the extraordinary abundance.

this is as insane as going to war in a foreign country... where do they find these decision-makers? The looney bin?

Matt! this is dreadful! you did well to escape. good on you. be proud but, as martin says, carry mace...
milwaukee sounds such a pleasant name... why are there thugs? what's the matter with our civilizations? here in large cities it isnt much better in some areas. Dont let it get to you... take karate lessons and destroy them next time.

This is very interesting... I look forward to updates on the intricacies of running for public office in the USA. Keep calm and unflustered and all will turn out well.

Good review... loved the last para. Such a shame that a film will not sell unless there is at least one 'star' in it... apparently there are only about 30 film actors world wide who are now used in alsmost every film, otherwise it is a flop... sometimes i wonder about the intelectual quotient of humans.

That's really sweet - and tragic that once again religion breeds hatred and pain... it's always the same but religious propaganda is so good everyone still thinks it is only a minority of religionists who are cruel, when cruelty and discrimination is the basic doctrine on which religion is based.

Poor Brian45 doen't know the difference between illegal parental abuse and state sanctioned abuse... he really is losing his grip... bring in the white coat brigade.
A shocking tale... you are a fine and determined campaigner for human dignity and i applaud you.

I don't think redimpala is criticising James... glad your post was deleted. what bugs me is that although editing of text is possible, you cant edit or remove photos. personally, I'd like to be able to remove some old posts - along with the comments. I can see no valid reason not to.

Yes..keep that contract... don't call, but definately let him know you're pleased when/if he calls and, as ekyprogressive says; if you happen to bump into him on the street... well...
Hang in there -- things always sort themselves out.
How's Belgrade? I was there forty years ago. saw some shots recently while watching the Eurovision Song quest... it sure has changed! The castle/fort beyond the old city and castle was a gay beat... met a really nice guy there who invited us home.
