Both are magical times.
The dawn of morning reminds me of a new day – anticipation of a new beginning.
The restful light of dusk reminds me that the day is coming to a close – a time for contemplating the hours of the day and looking forward to the resting time that the night provides.
Birds and beasts rouse from their slumber as the golden globe makes its daily debut.
They make sounds of celebration and it makes me smile.
In the evening, the chatter becomes less as the wildlife settle on branches or find their dens to nestle for the night.
These “in between times†are moments I find quite tranquil and I have a chance to either give thanks for a new beginning or for the passing of a wonderful day.
These are times when my mind is open to the most amazing thoughts.
In our busy lives, sometimes we have trouble recognizing the obvious.
I hope that I always have time to appreciate what’s going on outside my window in the mornings and the evenings.
I always want to watch and hear the world wake up – just before dawn . . .

the veranda and listen to music at night, watching the sun slowly
sink away.
