Mothers and Daughters

I've realized that every woman I meet has a story to tell about this. My neighbor is writing a novel about the relationship between a mother and daughter. One friend says her daughter is her greatest teacher. Another tells me she thinks of me as another daughter -- she already has three. My sister and I were deeply affected, in different ways, by our mother's inability to experience happiness. Didn't Nancy Friday write about this some thirty or forty years ago?

The older I get, the more I appreciate my mother. I lost her when I was 25 years old, and I miss her still

Your phone call the other day really lifted my spirits.

LeRoy's suffering ended this morning and he is at peace. I hope we can do lunch some hot July day.

It is so hard to be a mother and just as hard to be a daughter. I think it may be the most complicated relationship on the planet.
