Saturday was a good day. One of my friends from California was visiting, and our party went off without a hitch. Lots of people from Robert's job came, including his boss's VP and the President, both of whom brought their wives and housewarming gifts. I was so delighted to hear them, and Robert's colleagues, praise him highly. He is obviously well-liked and appreciated and respected. I'm so grateful that he works for a friendly, good company.
We've been so busy, running back and forth to Chicago to see my dear father-in-law, celebrating our 13th anniversary, multiple doctor appointments, and continuing to explore Tucson. Friday my friend and I went to the Tucson Botanical Gardens and I learned the names of a number of the plants on our property. The purple flower bushes in front are called RUELLIA and they are native to Mexico. My barrel cactus are FISHHOOK variety, and the paddle-shaped cactus where the quail live are indeed true PRICKLY PEAR, purple glossy fruit and all.
I love my life.
