Oh My Giddy Aunt . . . . .!

I has just finished wishing Terri (shesaidwhat) a goodnight and turned the computer off etc. When Chris (bedrock) came back into the front room after going out into the hall - "I think there has been a de-railment up in Cilfrew"!! he told me. I followed him out to the front door and listened for a moment - a 'cachophony' of metal agaist metal rang out! A bloke who had heard the same thing passed by, a brief conversation unsued and he went to investigate. In the meantime, Chris got in touch with the 'boys in blue', giving them as much detail as he could. They, were wondering if, the line was, in use during the early hours of the morning (it must have been about 1:15 a.m ish) Yes, he told them, there is usually a train carrying coal from Onllwyn to where-ever.
After about a half an hour, the sounds had diminished somewhat, but seemed to be further along the hill side (more toward Crynant). By now, Chris had found his torch and fresh batteries (there was no lighting along the 'black path' [Labour council, for you!) and went to investigate himself.
At the very least, from the noises we heard, if there was no de-railment, a large object may, have been placed across the track - there are a lot of idiots around here . . .
Anyway, Chris came back and said that the noise was coming from 'machines' doing some work along the track!!!! What a STUDID, time to be carrying out maintenence!!!
But, thankfully, it was not as bad as what we had first thought had happened!
But my story does not finish there . . . !!!
(I will write another post in a moment ~ got to go and get something to eat . . .)

Augusta, you went to get something to eat and then hadn't been back for five days... and now you're gone again! Well, as you have said, you've been busy, busy, busy... too busy!

It's frustrating when they do their maintenance work throughout the night. They do that all the time over here when repairing roads.

Ummmmmm..... I'm waiting for the next post.
But I'll have to catch it tomorrow. The garage sale wore me out and I'm whooped. Going to bed. Good night my friend.

I remember those sounds, they're horribl arn't they! Do you remeber one year when boffin was due home from school and we thought someone had been hit by a train and I ran up to see what it was? it turned out then that some people had put debris on the tracks. It's very un-nerving to hear makes me go cold just reading this. Glad it wasn't something more serious.
