Hope all is OK with Ted, send him my best wishes I think we may have to get to the vet soon as Chloe has got some kind of irritation on her tail (we didn't have it 'docked' when she was a pup as it isn't a thing we believe in) - mind you, having had 'loads' of thumps from it when she 'wags' her tail, I can understand 'why' the procedure might have been done originally - it blinking well 'hurts' Keep well Jeri
I bet you are over the moon to be back on line with a pc as opposed to a laptop (I know I was last year when my monitor died & had to use my sons laptop). I hated having to use the scroll pad thingy. Our snow has been gone for getting onto a fortnight now () we have got heavy rain now though ( ). I think a fresh outbreak of snow has hit Scotland recently, I was speaking to a friend up in Inverness last night and he mentioned it. Good to have you back Marg
Oh no - just realized that, but it does show your name over on your left hand side, by your avatar photo. It also shows the name in the reply, you have just sent me
Welcome to mybloggers from me tooooooooo
p.s. when you reply, make sure that it says who you are replying to in the comments link - it sends your reply 'skyward' sooooooo often
I have just been watching the 6oclock news - frightening scenes! I also felt so sorry for a pair of horses in the flood water. Horrible. I have a cousin out in Melbourne, he and his family are nowhere near to the flood area - it was last year or the year before when they had the fires, I was seriously worried, but, all was okay, thankfully. Nature and the planet are still very much in control of us all, regardless of wealth or, poverty! It doesn't favour either.
I am so sorry about the loss of Buzz, it does hurt so much.
This winter has been the worst I have ever experienced! When I was living a bit further 'up' the valley, I did see more snow than where I am now - but - this past two months - well!!!! I hope it is a lot better with you up in Scotland now, it must have been like living in the freezer! I daresay there will be more winters like this to come in the future - maybe over the next few months, who knows? A very healthy and prosperous New Year to you Jen
Many is the time I have thought to myself "ooh, I have got so & so, in the cupboard", climbed up to get it and noticed it is out of date - depending on what it is (and how long it 'has', actually been in there, I will use it. Apart from the health problem that I have got (nothing to do with 'poisoning' myself from this habit) I am fine and dandy I think it is just down to 'common sense' . . . . . . . I am 'sure', I have some of that tucked away somewher or other . . . . .
A couple of weeks ago Hobbie, I started to wonder if we were, heading for another ice-age I wouldn't mind taking the opportunity to see a lot of the historical sites of Europe though, come to think of it - yep, I could keep myself amused there
In agreement with all you have said Hobbie. This countries level of fatalities - from babies, teenage stabbings to drug orientated 'gangster' murders have become 'so' common, they are no longer 'news'!!!!!!
We need to bring back the death penalty. This way, it might deter, the person from actually doing it.
As for crimes against animals - let the owners of the animal have a very, long leash to be able to have their revenge (as my husband did, when he found the poisoner of one of my cats . . . . )
Your hair looked really nice, by the way
I have seen the documentary of this find - a truly amazing piece of engineering and astrological genius! The complexity of the device is awesome A boffin is atempting to re-create it and what he has found so far, is the amount of data it tells the viewer about the moon phases (on a particular day) etc. Fabulous item!
Have you done your hair?????
I liked the part which states that his fathers ranch, was a stop over for the 'underground Railway' (Hope he managed to shoot some of the slave catchers [in a very sensitive area of their anatomy's] )
