It's All Stuff!
It's All Stuff!
FYI It's about all that stuff.
Timely suggestions to offer to you.
Since this is something I'm witnessing now and it's Spring Cleaning, Earth Day. Well I thought to share my insights.
It's about all that stuff, we horde, save for? and just plane too lazy to deal with. Perhaps it's time to little by little do something NOW with it.
The 2 woman I'm thinking about and have mentioned in my blog are my "teachers" in this learning experience.
Widow lady in her 60's has to care for her husband, ends up her own health deteriorates. Leading to me helping her after he passes. Not her kids, all adult with their own children and grand kids. They don't have the time, nor the need for grandpa's rakes, garden tools, all the stuff in the shed, tools in the garage that are so old they'd be on antique road show. Including his "Classic Truck" and motor home, brimming with stuff to cook with, bedding, filled to top with stuff!
For me to sort out, for possible garage sale proved too much for me to deal with after cleaning a walking area to move around in the garage, I didn't even attempt the shed!! Snakes, bugs, uck!
So clean it up NOW, give the stuff away now have a yard sale NOW. Don't burden the family with it all after the fact, it's too overwhelming! Plus you may treasure some stuff and viewed by other ends up in the trash.
Case in point the recently passed on neighbor next door. Only has cousins, all out of town. Even her executor of the estate was out of town the day and week after she passed.
Her body was in a funeral home for a week, awaiting a Death Certificate, before it could be disposed of, not a nice thought, right?
So think about that, your body becomes just more to dispose of, in the outsiders view. Even if you are going to be cremated, it will need the paper work before it can be disposed of.
So if you think, oh I have everything in my Will, not really. Someone has to also deal with all the stuff/food/drawers, boxes, etc. A man came from the lawyers office last week, this total stranger walking around the home, going through your personal belongings, and throwing them in trash bags!!
So before you buy anything, ask do I really need this? Do I need 6 of these, or will one do fine?
Give stuff now to the kids/family/friends/ that know will enjoy it, NOW
Wether it's your collection of something, or your pile of National Geo's it all later will be to the person in your home, junk, trash!!
Release, give, lighten your load!
Share it now, and think before you buy more stuff. How many rakes do you need?
Look at your home one room at a time in an objective way. Pretend that this is a stranger's home that you have to clean out.
Shift perspectives.....
Reality is hard, yet in reality everything even your body will be viewed as stuff to HAVE to deal with!
